What is VENO Line Classic?
VENO Line Classic is a free browser version of Lines 98, the ball puzzle that came with old desktop computers. A 9×9 board slowly fills with glossy colored balls and your job is to line up five or more of the same color before there is nowhere left to move. The look is modern — soft board, rounded cells, balls with real highlights — but the rules are exactly the ones you remember.
How to play
Tap a ball to select it, then tap an empty cell. If a clear path exists the ball rolls along it square by square; if it does not, the ball shakes and nothing is lost. When five or more balls of one color line up horizontally, vertically or diagonally, they burst and you score. Clear a line and no new balls appear that turn — that is the trick behind every long run.
The three next balls
The small preview shows the three balls that will drop after your next move, and it is the heart of the game. Keeping an eye on those colors lets you leave gaps in the right places and finish a line instead of blocking yourself. Scoring starts at ten points for five balls and grows for every extra ball, with a combo bonus when a single move clears more than one line.
Modes, themes and helpers
Play Classic with the preview on, Time attack against the clock, or Zen with no incoming balls when you just want to unwind. Three themes are included: Classic 98 for the retro feel, Modern for the soft look you see in the video, and Dark for night play. Undo takes back a move, Hint suggests one, and the game autosaves every turn, so you can close the tab and come back later.
